We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Junior Concrete Hand to join our construction team, specializing in foundation work. The successful candidate will assist in various concrete-related tasks, including levelling, slab pouring, steel reinforcement, and drainage pipe installation. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing, levelling, and pouring concrete for foundations and slabs.
• Work with steel reinforcement (rebar) for foundation structures.
• Assist in setting up formwork and ensuring proper alignment.
• Help with installing drainage pipes within foundation works.
• Operate hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., screeds, trowels, compactors).
• Follow health and safety regulations on-site at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines.
• Perform manual labour tasks, including digging, lifting, and moving materials.

Essential Requirements:

• CSCS Card (Mandatory for UK construction sites).
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Construction or similar).
• Previous experience in concrete work or foundation labouring (preferred but not essential for juniors).
• Ability to read basic construction drawings (advantageous).
• Physically fit – capable of heavy lifting and working in all weather conditions.
• Own reliable transport (site locations may vary).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of concrete mixing ratios and curing processes.
• Familiarity with laser levels and basic surveying tools.
• Experience with small plant machinery (e.g., vibrating pokers, mixers).
